Key takeaways
- SERPRobot is cheap. On 14 October 2026 one SERP Bot cost $4.99 a month, or $59.88 a year, for 75 keyword updates per 24 hours.
- For daily checks of a small list, SERPRobot costs far less than a Rank Check Report: two bots for a year ($119.76) cost less than twelve monthly reports for 100 keywords ($179.88).
- A report earns its price when you need the finished document: a branded web report and PDF plus an Excel file, four Google engines on desktop and mobile, SERP features and AI Overview citations, with no setup.
- If you watch a short keyword list yourself, keep SERPRobot. If a client or a boss reads the result, a report saves you building it.
Most people searching for a SERPRobot alternative are not trying to save money, because SERPRobot is already a very low-cost way to watch Google rankings. One SERP Bot costs $4.99 a month. If price is your only criterion, you can stop reading here and keep it. If you need a finished client report rather than a bot, a Google keyword rank checker priced per report is the other option this article weighs.
The reasons to look elsewhere are about what you need at the end of the check. A position in a tool is one thing. A finished report you can forward to a client, covering desktop and mobile on four Google engines, with the SERP features and AI Overview citations of every results page, is another.
A disclosure: I run onwardSEO, which sells Google rank reports priced per check. The SERPRobot prices below were read on serprobot.com on 14 October 2026 and are shown in the screenshots. Its pricing page shows prices and update volume, not features, so I make no claims about SERPRobot’s reports, devices or depth. Check those in its own documentation.
The short answer: SERPRobot or a rank check report?
| If you need… | The better fit |
|---|---|
| The lowest cost for a small keyword list | SERPRobot |
| Rankings refreshed every 24 hours | SERPRobot |
| A few keywords you watch yourself | SERPRobot |
| A finished, branded report to forward to a client or a boss | Rank check report |
| Four Google engines, desktop and mobile, in one order with no setup | Rank check report |
| SERP features and AI Overview citations in the same report | Rank check report |
| One check now and then, with no account | Rank check report |
Where the report is on the right, it is because the report includes that by default. SERPRobot’s pricing page doesn’t say whether it offers the same, so I don’t claim either way.
SERPRobot pricing on 14 October 2026
SERPRobot’s pricing page has one price, stated in one sentence: “Each paid SERP Bot costs $4.99 USD per month and gives you 75 keyword updates per 24 hours.”
- Monthly billing: 75 searches per day for $4.99 USD a month.
- Yearly billing: $59.88 USD a year for the same 75 searches per day.
$59.88 is exactly 12 × $4.99, so on 14 October 2026 yearly billing showed no discount, only one payment instead of twelve. You add capacity by adding bots: the card has a selector for the number of bots. The page showed US dollars, so every figure in this article compares directly, with no currency conversion.
What a SERP bot buys you, in keywords
75 keyword updates per 24 hours means one bot can refresh a list of up to 75 keywords every day. Larger lists need more bots:
| Keywords updated every 24 hours | Bots | Per month | Per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 75 | 1 | $4.99 | $59.88 |
| Up to 150 | 2 | $9.98 | $119.76 |
| Up to 225 | 3 | $14.97 | $179.64 |
| Up to 300 | 4 | $19.96 | $239.52 |
| Up to 450 (enough for 400) | 6 | $29.94 | $359.28 |
That table assumes one update per keyword. The pricing page doesn’t say how devices, countries or search depth count against the 75 updates, so check with SERPRobot before you size a plan for desktop and mobile in two countries.
A Rank Check Report is priced by list size instead: up to 100 keywords for $14.99 per check and up to 400 for $44.99 (both top 30), and the price includes four Google engines, your Google edition and google.com, each on desktop and mobile.
The cost of a year: where SERPRobot wins
For a small list checked often, SERPRobot is clearly cheaper. Two bots for a year cost $119.76 and refresh up to 150 keywords every 24 hours. Twelve monthly Rank Check Reports for 100 keywords cost $179.88 and give you twelve snapshots. More data for less money: on price alone, SERPRobot wins.
The gap closes only when checks are rare. A report each quarter for 100 keywords costs $59.96 a year, about the same as one bot for 75 keywords ($59.88). One $14.99 report costs about as much as three months of one bot ($14.97).
| Situation | SERPRobot | onwardSEO Rank Check Reports |
|---|---|---|
| 75 keywords, every day for a year | $59.88 (1 bot) | Not offered: no daily tracking |
| 100 keywords, one report a month for a year | $119.76 (2 bots, refreshed every 24 hours) | $179.88 (12 × $14.99) |
| 200 keywords, one report a month for a year | $179.64 (3 bots) | $299.88 (12 × $24.99) |
| 300 keywords, before and after a migration two months apart | $39.92 (4 bots × 2 months, monthly billing) | $69.98 (2 × $34.99) |
If nobody but you reads the numbers, buy the cheapest data you can find. If someone else reads them, buy the report.
What you get with each
| SERPRobot | Rank Check Report | |
|---|---|---|
| How it is sold | Per bot, monthly or yearly | Per check, prepaid |
| Smallest option on 14 Oct 2026 | $4.99 a month, 75 keyword updates per 24 hours | $14.99 per check, 100 keywords, top 30 |
| Rank updates | Every 24 hours | One live check per order |
| Engines and devices | Not shown on the pricing page | 4 Google engines included: your edition and google.com, each on desktop and mobile |
| Depth | Not shown on the pricing page | Top 30 or top 60, per order |
| SERP features and AI Overview | Not shown on the pricing page | 18 SERP feature types and AI Overview citations per keyword |
| What you receive | Not shown on the pricing page | Web report, PDF and Excel file (Summary, Keywords, History) |
| Branding | Not shown on the pricing page | Your client’s logo and brand colour |
“Not shown” means exactly that: the pricing page lists price and update volume only. SERPRobot may well offer some of it, so ask before you decide. A Rank Check Report, for its part, has no dashboard, no daily tracking, no alerts, no search volume, no keyword suggestions and no competitor lists, and it covers Google web search only.
What the report adds for the extra money
The report costs more because it is a finished piece of work, not a data feed. The keyword table above comes from our public sample report:
- Position on each engine, positions 1 to 3 in gold, with the change against the previous check.
- SERP features found on the same results page: images, videos, reviews, People also ask, AI Overview and more, 18 types in all.
- AI Overview: whether Google’s AI Overview cited or mentioned the site. For “adr vs revpar” the site is “Mentioned #2 of 6”.
Around that table sit a cover with your client’s logo, an “At a glance” summary, a KPI strip with visibility and the top 3, top 10 and top 30 counts, the biggest movers and a ranking distribution. You get it as a web report, a PDF and an Excel file built from the same figures, within one working day. For anyone who reports to a client, that is the formatting work you would otherwise do yourself.
When SERPRobot is the better choice
- The list is small and you want it refreshed daily. One bot covers up to 75 keyword updates per 24 hours for $4.99 a month.
- Budget decides. $59.88 a year for one bot is less than four reports.
- You read the numbers yourself. Nobody needs a formatted document, a logo or a PDF.
- Timing matters. In the weeks after a launch, daily data shows when something moved; a monthly snapshot only shows that it did.
When a rank check report is the better choice
- Someone else reads the result: a client, a boss, a board. You forward the PDF or the web report as it is.
- You need the context around the position. SERP features and AI Overview citations explain why a steady position can still bring fewer clicks.
- You want desktop and mobile on two Google editions in one order, with nothing to set up. You send the list and order a one-off Google rank report.
- Occasional checks: a pitch, an audit, a migration. You pay for that check and nothing after it.
If cost really is the only thing, Google Search Console is free. Its Performance report shows the average position of the topmost result from your site for each query. That is an average across searches, not a position on a named engine on a named day, so it answers a different question. Our comparison of the best Google rank checkers sets free checkers against paid trackers, and our list of the cheapest rank tracker options prices twelve tools for one report a month.
How to decide if a SERPRobot alternative makes sense
Three questions before you choose
- How often does anyone act on the rankings? Every day: SERPRobot. Once a month or less: either works, and price still favours SERPRobot for small lists.
- Who reads the result? Only you: SERPRobot is enough. A client or a boss: the report saves you building the document.
- What do you need beside the position? SERP features, AI Overview citations and four engines on desktop and mobile come with every report.
Some agencies will sensibly use both: a cheap daily bot on a handful of critical keywords, and a full report once a month for the client. If you would rather have someone read the report every month and turn it into actions, that is what our SEO rank tracking service does.
FAQ
Is SERPRobot cheaper than a rank check report?
Yes, for daily checks of a small list. One bot is $4.99 a month for 75 keyword updates per 24 hours, while a Rank Check Report starts at $14.99 per check. The report costs more because it is a finished, branded document with four Google engines, SERP features and AI Overview citations.
How much does SERPRobot cost?
On 14 October 2026 its pricing page showed $4.99 USD a month per SERP Bot, or $59.88 USD a year per bot, each with 75 keyword updates per 24 hours. More keywords means more bots.
Does a rank check report track rankings every day?
No. You get one live check per order, delivered within one working day. Repeat orders add a point to each keyword’s trend line, but there is no daily tracking and there are no alerts.
Which Google engines does a report cover?
Four are included: your chosen Google edition on desktop and mobile, plus google.com on desktop and mobile. Another country edition or a city can be added as an extra engine, from $2.99 per check.
When the rankings have to leave your desk, order one finished report: up to 400 keywords on four Google engines, desktop and mobile, with SERP features and AI Overview citations.
