Key takeaways

  • Advanced Web Ranking (AWR) is a full rank tracking platform. On 14 October 2026 its Pro plan cost $139 a month on monthly billing, or $125 a month billed annually at $1,500, for 7,000 keyword units.
  • AWR counts units, not keywords: one unit is one keyword checked weekly on one search engine and one device, 50 results deep. A second device doubles the units; daily updates multiply them by 7.
  • 100 keywords on desktop and mobile in two Google editions, checked daily, use 2,800 of the Pro plan’s 7,000 units. A Rank Check Report checks that setup once for $14.99.
  • White label in AWR needs the Agency plan or a yearly subscription. Every Rank Check Report can carry your client’s logo and brand colour.
  • Pick AWR for weekly or daily tracking, many projects and AI visibility tracking. Pick a report for a monthly or occasional picture of 100 to 400 keywords.

An Advanced Web Ranking alternative only makes sense if your keyword list is small and you read it now and then. AWR is a serious rank tracking platform with unlimited projects and users, and its Pro plan holds 7,000 keyword units. If your whole list is 100 to 400 keywords and you look at it once a month, most of that capacity sits unused, and the plan costs $1,500 to $1,668 a year. For a list that size, a rank checker priced per report is the alternative this comparison weighs.

A disclosure before the numbers: I run onwardSEO, which sells one-off Google rank reports, so read this as a vendor’s comparison. Every AWR price and rule below was read on advancedwebranking.com on 14 October 2026 and is shown in the screenshots. Where they don’t show something, I don’t claim it.

The short answer: Advanced Web Ranking or a rank check report?

If you need… The better fit
Weekly or daily rank updates Advanced Web Ranking
Thousands of keywords, unlimited projects and users Advanced Web Ranking
AI visibility tracking, SEO forecasting and market share Advanced Web Ranking
One Google ranking report a month or a quarter, 100 to 400 keywords Rank check report
A branded client report without a yearly plan Rank check report
A before-and-after check around a launch or migration Rank check report
No subscription, no account and no setup Rank check report

AWR is software you work in every week. A Rank Check Report is a finished document: you send your keywords and your Google, and within one working day you get a web report, a PDF and an Excel file.

Advanced Web Ranking pricing on 14 October 2026

Two unaltered screenshots of the Advanced Web Ranking pricing page from 14 October 2026: Pro at $139 a month with monthly billing selected, and $125 a month billed annually at $1,500 with annual billing selected, both with 7,000 keywords

Advanced Web Ranking’s pricing page shows four plans, with a switch between monthly and annual billing (annual is labelled “save 10%”):

  • Pro: $139 a month on monthly billing, or $125 a month billed annually at $1,500, which the page says saves $168 a year. It includes 7,000 keywords, unlimited projects, unlimited users, local and mobile rankings, AI visibility tracking, AI citations and mentions, full SERP features analysis, SEO forecasting (one per project) and market share.
  • Agency: $279 a month, or $251 a month billed annually at $3,012, with 14,500 keywords. It adds unlimited SEO forecasts, 1h on-demand updates, localised performance metrics, custom dashboards and reports, Looker Studio integration and a developer API.
  • Enterprise ($699 a month, or $629 billed annually, 35,500 keywords) and Ent Plus 50k ($980, or $882 annually, 50,000 keywords, by demo).

All plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. The page showed US dollars when I opened it from Romania, so its prices compare directly with ours. Prices can vary by location, so check from your own country.

How AWR counts keywords

Unaltered screenshot of the Advanced Web Ranking pricing FAQ from 14 October 2026: the own-branding answer saying white label is available in the Agency plan or higher and for all yearly subscriptions, and the answer explaining how keywords are calculated, with five examples
Screenshot of the FAQ on advancedwebranking.com/pricing, 14 October 2026.

The 7,000 on the Pro card are keyword units, not keywords. The FAQ on the pricing page says a keyword means “one query made weekly for one search engine, for one device with a search depth of 5 pages (or 50 results)”. Its examples:

  • 10 keywords weekly on Google Desktop US, 5 pages deep: 10 units.
  • The same list 10 pages deep: 20 units, because AWR fetches 10 pages instead of 5.
  • 10 keywords weekly on 2 devices, desktop and mobile: 20 units.
  • 10 keywords weekly in 3 locations: 30 units.
  • 10 keywords daily: 70 units, because there are 7 daily updates in a week.

Put simply, 7,000 units are 7,000 keywords checked once a week on one engine and one device, or 1,000 keywords checked daily, or 500 keywords checked daily on desktop and mobile.

The same FAQ answers the white-label question. You can remove all AWR branding, show your own logo and host reports on your own domain, and “this feature is available in the Agency plan or higher and for all yearly subscriptions”. By that rule, Pro qualifies when it is billed annually at $1,500; on monthly billing, white label starts with the Agency plan.

A rank check report setup, counted in AWR units

Diagram of how Advanced Web Ranking would count a Rank Check Report setup: 100 keywords times 2 devices times 2 Google editions equals 400 units a week, 2,800 units checked daily and 5,600 units checked daily at a 10-page depth, against the Pro plan's 7,000 units
Our report setup in AWR's units: 100 keywords on four Google engines, against the Pro plan's 7,000.

A Rank Check Report checks every keyword on four Google engines: your Google edition and google.com, each on desktop and mobile. In AWR’s units, 100 keywords in that setup are 400 units a week and 2,800 checked daily. A top 60 check looks deeper than AWR’s standard 50 results; at the FAQ’s 10-page depth the daily figure doubles to 5,600.

That is the fair point for AWR: on Pro, a list our size fits comfortably, even daily. 250 keywords on four engines, checked daily at standard depth, use exactly 7,000 units. A report can’t give you daily data at all. The question is whether you need it. If you read the numbers once a month, one check a month is what you use.

The cost of one report a month for a year

Bar chart of the yearly cost of one rank report a month: Advanced Web Ranking Pro $1,668 on monthly billing and $1,500 billed annually, against onwardSEO $719.88 for 400 keywords top 60, $359.88 for 200 keywords top 60 and $179.88 for 100 keywords top 30
One report a month for 12 months. All prices in USD, Advanced Web Ranking as shown on 14 October 2026.

Both price lists are in US dollars, so these figures compare directly:

Situation Advanced Web Ranking Pro onwardSEO Rank Check Reports
100 keywords, one report a month for 12 months $1,668 (monthly billing) or $1,500 (billed annually) $179.88 (12 × $14.99, top 30)
200 keywords, top 60, one report a month for 12 months $1,668 or $1,500 $359.88 (12 × $29.99)
400 keywords, top 60, one report a month for 12 months $1,668 or $1,500 $719.88 (12 × $59.99)
200 keywords, top 30, one report a quarter $556 if you subscribe only for the 4 months you need (4 × $139) $99.96 (4 × $24.99)
Branded client report, 100 keywords, monthly $1,500 (Pro billed annually; the FAQ limits white label to Agency and higher, and yearly plans) $179.88, branding included

Two notes keep this fair. First, AWR’s price buys weekly or daily tracking, unlimited projects and users, and AI visibility tracking, not one snapshot. Second, a subscription you start and stop around each quarterly check works on paper, but it means managing a plan around every report.

7,000 keyword units are a lot of room for a 200-keyword list you read once a month.

A Rank Check Report has no forecasting, no market share, no search volume, no keyword suggestions and no competitor lists, and it covers Google web search only.

When Advanced Web Ranking is the better choice

  • You act on weekly or daily data. AWR is built for regular updates; a report gives you one check per order.
  • Your lists are large or many. 7,000 units on Pro, 14,500 on Agency, with unlimited projects and users. A per-check report is priced for lists of up to 400 keywords; we quote anything larger.
  • You track AI visibility. The Pro card lists AI visibility tracking and AI citations and mentions. The report only records whether Google’s AI Overview cites or mentions you for each keyword.
  • You want forecasting and market share, both listed on the Pro card.
  • You will pay yearly anyway. Pro billed annually includes white label, so branded reports come with the plan.

When a rank check report is the better choice

  • A small list, read monthly or quarterly. Up to 400 keywords, priced by tier, with four Google engines included. Google’s guide to debugging traffic drops notes that small fluctuations in position can happen at any time and that positions aren’t static, which is why a monthly comparison tells most businesses enough.
  • Branded reports without a yearly commitment. Logo and brand colour come with any single order. Our guide to white label rank tracking compares that with branded subscriptions.
  • One-off moments: a pitch, an audit, a redesign, a migration or a Google update.
  • No setup. You send a list and your Google edition, not a project configuration.

For a wider view on price, our comparison of the cheapest rank tracker options puts twelve tools side by side for one report a month.

How to switch to an Advanced Web Ranking alternative

  1. Before your plan ends, export current positions for the keywords that matter. That is your baseline.
  2. Order a check with the same keywords and the same Google editions you tracked in AWR; the report always covers desktop and mobile. Choose top 60 if you tracked more than 30 results deep.
  3. Expect small differences in the first report. Different tools fetch results at different times, so compare direction, not single positions.
  4. From your second order, the report compares every keyword with your previous check and builds the trend line.

The first report shows “first run” instead of changes, because there is no earlier check to compare with yet. If you would rather have someone read the report every month and turn it into actions, that is what our SEO rank tracking service does.

FAQ

What is a keyword unit in Advanced Web Ranking?

According to the FAQ on AWR’s pricing page on 14 October 2026, one unit is one keyword checked weekly on one search engine and one device, 5 pages (50 results) deep. A second device doubles the units, daily updates multiply them by 7, and a 10-page depth doubles them.

Does Advanced Web Ranking Pro include white label?

On yearly billing, yes. The FAQ says white label is available in the Agency plan or higher and for all yearly subscriptions, so on monthly billing it starts with the Agency plan.

Is this a full Advanced Web Ranking review?

No. It compares pricing and the one job both products do: Google rankings. I have not assessed AWR’s forecasting, market share or AI visibility tools here.

Can I see a report before I order?

Yes. The public sample report shows an anonymised client project as the client receives it, and the Rank Check Reports page has the full price table.

Get one Google rank report sized to your list: up to 400 keywords on four Google engines, desktop and mobile, with SERP features and AI Overview citations, and no subscription.
